Mike's Founder Journey - A Difficult Decision

The Last Fractalytic Update

Hello Supporters,

Welcome to the September Edition of Mike’s Founder journey. Sadly, this is the last update for Fractalytic. After some difficult conversations, Bhavesh and I have decided to shut down the company.

Like any startup closure, this was not an easy decision for us to make, and one that was fraught with mixed emotions. It’s not easy to say goodbye to something you’ve spent nearly a year pouring your heart and soul into. However, we both decided that things were not where we needed them to be and made the difficult decision to wrap things up.

To our supporters - thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We would not have been able to get as far as we did without you.

The lessons we have learned over the last year have been immeasurable. We’ve done deep dives into how buildings and our energy system interact, experienced the difficulties of getting data from building systems, and gained an even deeper appreciation for the difficult work that is decarbonizing the built environment. There is a lot you can read about, but some things still need to be experienced first-hand to truly be learned. For all of these experiences, we are grateful.

So, what’s next?

Bhavesh and I are now both looking for the next challenge to tackle. We're both on the lookout for new opportunities where we can apply our skills, passion, and the invaluable lessons Fractalytic taught us.

For those who are looking for a rockstar embedded software engineer, look no further than Bhavesh. Having him as a co-founder for these last several months has been an absolute blast, and I know he will be an asset to any team he’s a part of next. Feel free to contact him directly, or I can happily facilitate an introduction.

As for me, I'm looking for my next challenge in the world of climate tech, renewable energy, or sustainability. If you know of any opportunities or just want to chat about the world of startups or climate tech, please reach out. Our inboxes are always open!

Well - that’s all for now. Once again, thank you to everyone who has followed along and supported us on this wild ride. This might be the end for Fractalytic, but you can count on more incredible things to come!

Cheers,

-Mike
